On the eve of the Christmas holidays, customs Germany recalled that imports from the Russian Federation are subject to a ban on a wide range of goods due to sanctions imposed for aggression against Ukraine.

German authorities warned that they will remove goods subject to sanctions from parcels, informs DW.

“Subject to sanctions goods may be seized and confiscated by customs,” the explanation notes.

The following goods from the Russian Federation are subject to sanctions: pulp and paper, wood and wood products, stones and precious metals, cigarettes, plastics and chemical products, including cosmetics.

The department emphasized that gift parcels sent by private individuals from Russia to other private individuals in the European Union are not an exception to the sanctions regime.

At the same time, books and children's toys will not be subject to the ban, despite numerous media reports. These products were removed from the reorganization list due to adopted amendments to the relevant EU regulations.

Recall that it was previously reported that in the USA a Russian was purchasing dual-use goods for the Russian Federation.

In addition, we previously reported that one of the main scammers in Germany worked for Russia.
