George Martin named his favorite TV series 2020
Writer George R.R. Martin said that he really liked the Netflix series “Queen's Move” about a brilliant chess player.
On his blog, Martin called the show “a very credible adaptation of a very powerful novel … well written, played and choreographed.”
He also noted that the project should receive awards “if justice exists.”
“I really liked it, because this world is familiar to me. Chess was an important part of my life both in high school and after graduating from college in the early 70's. The Queen's Move brought these memories to life in me, ”added Martin.
In September this year, it became known that Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be tackling a new project on Netflix. It will be a series based on the fantasy trilogy “The Three Bodies Problem” by Chinese author Liu Qixin.
Last fall, it was reported that HBO would film a prequel to Game of Thrones, which will be called Dragon's House. It is based on Fire and Blood by George RR Martin.
