Upon the shooting in the Dnieper, the State Bureau of Investigation opened criminal proceedings. The case is being investigated as premeditated murder.
The DBR noted that the reasons and motives of the soldier who opened fire in the barracks are being established. Also, law enforcement officers are studying in detail the procedure for organizing the service and protection of the Southern Machine-Building Plant (where the shooting occurred) by responsible officials.
