Russia will stop gas supplies to the European Union if countries decide to impose a price cap.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said that Russia will stop deliveries of gas to EU countries if a decision is made to limit the price.

According to him, the introduction of a gas price limit violates the terms of the contracts.
“We are guided by the contracts that have been signed. Such a unilateral decision is, of course, a violation of the essential terms of the contract, which entails the termination of supplies” , — said Miller.
The EU countries have been discussing the price ceiling for gas from Russia and not only for several weeks, but they still have not been able to agree on the restrictions.
Gas blackmail of Russia
In early September, Russian Gazprom completely stopped gas supplies to Europe due to Nord Stream, talking about an alleged malfunction.
However, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that EU countries are ready for the heating season and filled their gas storage facilities by 80%.
Ukrainian Institute for the Future expert Ivan Stupak stressed that the Europeans realized that Russia is not a reliable partner, returns to Russian gas.
The expert also believes that the European Union conditionally divides sanctions into certain levels: weaker and tougher. Depending on the situation and the desired results, the EU chooses what level of restrictions to impose.
On Saturday, October 15, the mayor of the Hungarian capital city of Budapest, Gergely Koracsony, subjected the Hungarian government to strong criticism and its head Viktor Orban.
