The Polish state oil and gas company PGNiG received a letter from the Russian ” Gazprom ” about the complete cessation of gas supplies under the Yamal contract.

“On April 26, Gazprom informed PGNiG of its intention to completely suspend deliveries under the Yamal contract at the beginning of the contract day on April 27. Gaz-System and PGNiG remain in constant contact and monitor the situation on an ongoing basis related to the termination of supplies by Gazprom, the report said.
PGNiG and the operator of the Polish gas transmission system, Gaz-System, report that all deliveries to customers are made in accordance with their needs.
“Currently, the transport infrastructure managed by Gaz-System is functioning smoothly. The national gas transmission system is supplied on a permanent basis through other inputs to the gas system, underground gas storages are pumped in, and fuel is transferred to consumers in accordance with current demand,” the message says. .
PGNiG notes that Poland has the opportunity to receive gas in various directions, incl. through gas connections at the western and southern borders and the LNG terminal in Swinouisk, as well as own production and gas reserves in storage facilities, which are now about 80% full, which is significantly higher than in the corresponding period of previous years.

We are seeing an increase in rates, typical for Russians, and a departure from any rules and obligations,” he wrote in Telegram.
According to Yermak, the EU has repeatedly said that they will not pay for gas in rubles, since in the signed contracts, we are not talking about settlements in “wooden” currency. Russia is trying to split the unity of our allies.
“Russia also proves that energy resources are a weapon for them. That is why the EU needs to be united and impose an embargo on energy resources, depriving the Russians of their energy weapons. Previously, Poland reported that it intends to abandon Russian gas in 2023. Other EU countries are also looking for ways to diversify energy sources,” the head of the OP noted.
