Russian Gazprom has not booked the capacity of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline for gas transit

During the additional session of the auction, Russian Gazprom again did not book the capacity of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline for gas transit through Poland, RIA Novosti writes.
So, the offer for Saturday, December 25, during the additional session, again turned out to be unclaimed. The capacities were offered at the point of entry into the Polish section of the highway.
Commenting on supplies via the pipeline, the company stated that it supplies gas via the pipeline based on consumer requests and in full compliance with contractual obligations.
For the sixth time in a row, Gazprom refused to book the Polish section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. The long-term agreement between Gazprom and Poland for gas transit through Yamal-Europe ended last year. Now the pipeline has switched to reverse mode, through which gas is pumped from Germany to Poland.
The price of gas in Europe against the background of the decision of “Gazprom” grew to more than $ 2,150 per thousand cubic meters, but then went down. On December 24, the cost fell below $ 1,300.
