“We underline the importance of the commitments of the UN system and agencies, primarily WHO, with a focus on ongoing assessments, a stated commitment to transparency and the need to improve its overall effectiveness,” the final declaration says.
The G20 leaders also added that they took into account the assessments of gaps in pandemic preparedness, which were prepared by the relevant international organizations.
Earlier, the leaders of the G20 countries pledged to fairly distribute vaccines and drugs for coronavirus around the world. “We will spare no effort to ensure equal access for all people. We recognize mass vaccination as a global public good, ”they said.
