The doctor served as director of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums.
Putin’s chief physician Viktor Trukhin, who knows the “medical secrets of power,” was arrested by the FSB as he attempted to escape from Russia to Belarus.
The foreign publication The Sun writes about this.
The material says that Trukhin disappeared six days after he was fired from a leadership position at a top state institution on charges of “fraud.” He served as director of the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums. Trukhin allegedly knew about the latest research and development in Russia in the field of vaccines, serums and bacterial preparations.
The authors of the article note that the Institute, headed by Trukhin, is part of the Russian government body responsible for ensuring the country’s radiation, chemical and biological safety, as well as healthcare. Allegedly, the largest client was a company owned by Putin's close friend Sergei Chemezov, a former KGB colleague who is the billionaire chairman of Rostek.
The Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) handed over to the Russian security forces ” dossier about his involvement in fraud after checking charges of corruption.”
“A criminal case was opened against him when it turned out that Trukhin intended to leave the Russian Federation and could tell a lot of interesting things about Russian vaccines and serums,” it says in the article.
Meanwhile, the Russian publication Fontanka reported that he is being held in a pre-trial detention center on a lesser charge of embezzlement of about half a billion rubles.
As previously reported, according to Ukrainian President Vladimir Putin, Putin is losing in a long war.
