“You can do everything beautifully. Even parking lot or elevator signs. Just because we're used to things looking so unimaginative doesn't have to stay that way, ”Vera Doppler, founder of Die Macherei, is convinced. Using her own CO2 laser, the spirited 34-year-old can personalize everything – from signs to cots. “I never run out of ideas. We have already done the craziest things and there is hardly a material that cannot be lasered, ”reveals Vera. Everything from pink marble to ax is processed with the laser. The Upper Austrian started out of necessity.

After cultural management and IBWL studies, the former Starmania participant moved to Wels seven years ago instead of the big wide world. Because of love. “It wasn't easy to find a job there, at least not one that would have suited me,” admits Doppler. When I was pregnant with her first child, the leap into self-employment was not easy: “I was still inexperienced, so it wasn't my first choice. But everything turned out that way. I did further training in graphic design and believed in the many possibilities of laser technology. ”

After small orders for events, it turned out that there is a great demand for personalization. “When I bought the sinfully expensive laser, many friends thought I was crazy. But apart from the Corona year, things were steadily improving. ”Small orders sometimes result in large ones, so Vera can now also count Chanel among her customers. “A private customer recommended us. That's why a wide range is important to me, ”Vera knows about the advertising effect of the individual. The laser can adopt any corporate identity and implement it anywhere, whether on a cell phone, on a pair of jeans or an apple. The company's greatest asset, however, is not the laser, but the courageous operator herself. With a lot of dedication, attention to detail and a great sense of trends, it is Vera's inventiveness that makes “Die Macherei” something special.

Learned from show business

When the revival of Starmania comes on television on February 26th, Vera will be watching with excitement. “I very much hope that the opportunity was taken to rethink the format well,” said the ex-candidate. By the way, she has never regretted her own participation: “I was still very young, but I learned a lot and got out with a record deal. I owe my parents to me that I went out healthy and well. They were always there for me. Not all casting show participants were lucky. ”Vera has not given up music for herself:“ You don't have to exercise every passion as a job, an excessive hobby is often enough. At the moment I can really live out my creativity in business. But I would never rule out a new music project. “
