Temporary rules for moving animals to EU countries have been suspended.
Poland is changing the rules for importing pet animals into the country.This is reported by the State Food and Consumer Service.
From July 25, 2022, the import of pets (cats, dogs and ferrets) accompanied by their owners or guardians (authorized persons) to the territory of the Republic of Poland from Ukraine will be possible subject to fulfillment of the following requirements:
To simplify the border crossing procedure, Polish customs and veterinary services will not require a health certificate and the results of a titration test for rabies antibodies.
In case of onward movement into the country where such testing is necessary, the pet owner may conduct the testing in Poland. The costs of research and other necessary veterinary procedures are borne by the owner of the animal.
“The rules for moving pets to the EU countries, accompanied by their owners or guardians (authorized persons) of animals, have been temporarily introduced,” the message says.
