Freezing the war in Ukraine in six years will lead to a direct clash between the Russian Federation and NATO – study

Moscow will rapidly increase its military capabilities.

If the war in Ukraine is frozen, Russia will have six years to prepare its troops for direct conflict with NATO.

Such conclusions were made in a study by the German Society for Foreign Policy (DGAP). His data was published by the German publication Zeit. Experts refer in their conclusions to sources in the German military and intelligence services.

“Even after almost two years of war in Ukraine, Russia’s military potential is higher than it currently appears. The greatest losses of people and equipment were suffered by the ground forces,” the study says.

According to experts, Moscow will quickly increase its military capabilities, and NATO countries have 5 to 9 years to also increase their capabilities and prevent a possible conflict.

The authors also believe that one of the reasons for it could be an attack by the Russian Federation on the Baltic countries.

“The window for a possible Russian attack will open once Russia has the impression that an attack, for example in the Baltics, could be successful,” the study says.

Let us recall that on November 17, the authoritative American publication Foreign Affairs published a controversial article with the headline “ Rethinking Success in Ukraine ,” where the authors talk about the “deadlock” of the war, talk about possible negotiations, which “Washington should encourage” and the fact that Ukraine should move to defense instead of offense.

Renowned analyst Timothy Ash said that Ukraine will by no means stop fighting, and even if the United States' support for Trump disappears, Europe will not reduce its support for Kiev. In his opinion, Putin expects to receive Ukraine on a platter. Read more about the dictator's intentions in the news.
