Manprit Sarkaria is apparently about to move to SK Sturm Graz. As the Kleine Zeitung reports, the 24-year-old will leave the financially hard-hit Veilchen free of charge and move to Graz in the summer. The technically strong midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season.
Christian Ilzer brings an ex-protégé to Graz
Under the then Austria coach Christian Ilzer, Manprit Sarkaria became a regular player. Now he is bringing his former player to Graz, where he could also play a major role.
In the current season, Sarkaria completed 26 competitive games in which he scored six goals and nine assists. The 24-year-old has a total of 67 competitive games for the violet fighting team.
Manprit Sarkaria will probably not be the only player to leave Vienna this summer. The contracts of Alexander Grünwald, Christoph Monschein, Michael Madl, Christoph Schösswendter, Stephan Zwierschitz and Thomas Ebner are also running out.
