The prime minister himself, speaking about the financial situation in the country, called it “very serious.” Also, the new head of government will have a detailed task of improving the standard of living in the tap, improving the situation in the field of security and migration control, as well as environmental protection.
Among the key persons who headed the ministries – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was Jean-Noël Barrot, a centrist. In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be headed by conservative Bruno Retaillo, who dealt with the migration issue. Sebastien Lecornu, a close associate of Macron, retained his post as Minister of Defense. The Ministry of Finance will be headed by 33-year-old Antoine Armand, who was the head of the parliamentary commission on economic issues. Didier Migault has been appointed Minister of Justice. He is a former Socialist and is currently the only left-of-center politician in the Cabinet.
