The French authorities decided to tighten epidemiological restrictions for citizens amid the spread of the omicron strain of the coronavirus. It is reported by “BBC”.
According to the publication, from January 3, 2022, all Frenchmen will be obliged to switch to a remote mode of operation, if possible. In addition, the permitted number of visitors to public events in the premises will be reduced to two thousand. At the same time, the French Ministry of Health did not introduce a curfew in the country.
Restrictions have increased due to a sharp deterioration in the situation with COVID-19. So, on December 25, it was reported that more than 100 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected in France per day. This has become a record since the start of the pandemic.
Prior to that, the head of the Ministry of Health of the Fifth Republic, Olivier Veran, admitted that a “latent form” of compulsory vaccination against COVID-19 would appear in the country. We are talking about a possible transition from compulsory sanitary passes to immunization certificates.
