French President Emmanuel Macron said the country would offer Ukraine financial assistance in the amount of 300 million euros and military equipment. On Friday, February 25, according to Reuters.
France also intends to speed up the deployment of its military in Romania, said Macron.
Earlier, the President of the European Parliament (EP), Roberta Metsola, called on the European Union (EU) to impose “the most severe” sanctions against Russia. Metsola noted that the new sanctions should be “urgent and strict, no one should hide from them.”
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special military operation to protect Donbass. He announced this during an address to fellow citizens. Putin also turned to outside forces that might try to pose a threat to Russia. According to him, Russia's response will be immediate.
