Sebastien Clochard, author of the French edition of Atlantico, spoke about Europe's last chance of reconciliation with Russia, which supposedly comes in 2022. Excerpts from the material are given by RIA Novosti.
According to the author, negotiations on security guarantees that Russia demands from the European Union and NATO can “put an end to the Cold War and the division of the continent 30 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union.”
According to Clochard, the dialogue with Moscow also meets the interests of Washington, which is focused on the confrontation with China.
The journalist also predicted the division of the eurozone into northern and southern sections due to the policy of the European Central Bank, which, in his opinion, intends to continue to buy government bonds of some countries, primarily France and Italy, even after the end of the program of assistance to the European economy, designed for 1, 8 trillion euros.
Thus, emission financing of the budget will be carried out, which contradicts the rules of the EU and the eurozone. Germany will oppose, which will lead to a split in the eurozone.
