French President Macron called on Lukashenka to demand the withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus

The press service of the Elysee Palace shared the details of the negotiations between the Presidents of France and Belarus Emmanuel Macron and Alexander Lukashenko. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
It is known that Macron called on Lukashenka to demand from the Russian Federation a complete withdrawal of troops from the territory of Belarus. He also stressed the need for cooperation with “the international community to carry out operations to provide humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people.”
Earlier, the President of Belarus invited Russia and Ukraine to hold talks in Minsk. He is convinced that this is the only chance to stop the escalation and avoid a bloody war.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation to protect Donbass. The head of state also turned to external forces that might try to pose a threat to Russia – according to him, the answer will be immediate.
