In France, a new record was recorded for the number of cases of coronavirus infection per day, more than 94.1 thousand cases were detected in the country in 24 hours, Interfax writes.

It is noted that this was the highest incidence rate in the country since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. The previous anti-record was a daily increase of 91.6 thousand cases, which was recorded the day before.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, the country has set a record for the number of tests performed – 1.55 million tests for COVID-19.

Most people in France are vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 20 million people have received the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine in France.

A week ago, more than 88 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the UK. This is an all-time record over the past two years since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Sky News edition fears that in fact there are many more infected. Exactly a week ago, the number of infections per day did not exceed 51 thousand people.
