France recalls ambassador to Turkey after Erdogan's attacks on Macron

by alex

Paris condemned the rude words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to French President Emmanuel Macron and recalled the ambassador from Ankara for consultations, BFMTV reports.

After the murder in the suburbs of Paris of history teacher Samuel Pati, which was committed by a native of Moscow of Chechen origin Abdulakhan Anzorov, Macron promised to protect the country's secular values from radical Islam.

At the same time, the French leader pointed out that, in his opinion, Islam as a religion is in crisis all over the world. These words caused Erdogan's attacks. During the televised address, he said that only a person with mental disorders can speak like that about millions of members from different religious groups.

The Turkish President suggested to Macron to check his head, and also said that Europe “opens a front against Muslims” and is approaching its end.

Anzorov decided to kill Pati after he saw a video where the teacher showed a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad. It also said where exactly the teacher works. Four people were detained in the criminal case. According to preliminary data, the killer was associated with Islamists from Syria.
