France is in favor of taking action against Russian media in Europe. It is reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP) with reference to the statement of the Elysee Palace.
According to the French publication, during a meeting of the Defense and Security Council, French President Emmanuel Macron said that steps should be taken to combat “propaganda from influencers and Russian media on European territory.” It is noted that we are talking about Russian media reports related to the situation in Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Macron called for increased measures against Russia. Thus, according to AFP, he supported “strengthening economic and financial sanctions in coordination with the Europeans and Americans.” In addition, new national restrictions may relate to the “freezing of financial assets of Russian persons”.
