The French Foreign Ministry has demanded that Pakistani Human Rights Minister Shirin Mazari stop comparing the President of the Fifth Republic to the Nazis. RIA Novosti reports.
The French authorities called the Pakistani official’s statements that Macron’s actions towards Muslims in France resembled what the Nazis did with Jews “shocking” and “offensive”. The French Foreign Ministry strongly condemned such comparisons and called on Pakistan to immediately “correct” the statements of its minister.
Earlier, Macron delivered an ultimatum to Muslims in France. President and Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen have developed a plan to combat extremism. According to sources in Le Figaro newspaper, at the meeting, politicians “pressed” on representatives of the Muslim community to comply with the demands of the authorities. It is noted that Macron and Darmanen demanded that Muslims “submit to the values of the Republic in their faith” within two weeks.
