The French authorities have decided to send patients with coronavirus for treatment to Germany. This is reported by La Provence.

The head of the Federation of French public hospitals, Frederic Valetou, complained about the increased workload and lack of places in medical institutions. According to him, the situation was particularly difficult in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Haute-de-France regions.

“Transferring patients to other regions, even to other countries, will help reduce the workload and will sometimes be necessary,” he said, adding that the transfer of some patients is planned for the coming days.

On October 30, it became known that Belgium, due to overcrowded hospitals, began sending the first patients with COVID-19 to Germany. At the same time, the country returned to strict restrictive measures, including the closure of shops and service industries.

According to the latest data, 1,502,763 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in France, of which 36,330 were in the last day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 38,289 patients have died in the country, and 854 people have died per day. In terms of morbidity, France ranks fifth in the world, in terms of mortality, it is seventh.
