Fragments of a Soyuz-2 launch vehicle found in Yakutia
In two regions of Yakutia, fragments of a Soyuz carrier rocket, launched on May 28, were found, the radiation background does not exceed the norm, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the republic reported.
The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket was previously scheduled for May 27, but it was postponed for a day, since the launch complex's automation recorded a failure in one of the systems.
It is noted that the monitoring sites did not record an increase in the radiation background, it is at a level below the average values in the republic.
Earlier, General Director of Glavkosmos Dmitry Loskutov spoke about plans to send the first tourists on space travel by mid-2023.
