Four Russian athletes were disqualified for doping

Athletes Anastasia Bazdyreva, Marina Panteleeva, Marina Pospelova and Olesya Sviridova have been disqualified for anti-doping rule violations. This is reported by TASS with reference to the All-Russian Federation of Athletics (ARAF).

The runner Bazdyreva was suspended from the competition for eight years. In her doping test, recombinant erythropoietin was found. The same substance was found in Pospelova, the runner was disqualified for two years. A metabolite of stanozolol was found in Panteleeva's body, an athlete specializing in short distances was suspended for four years.
