German Major General Christian Freiding said that Germany will transfer to Ukraine by December.
Germany plans to transfer to Ukraine two short- and medium-range air defense systems by December 2024 Iris-T, 30 Leopard 1A5 tanks, 400 armored vehicles with MRAP protection, 16 self-propelled artillery units of two types and other weapons.
German Major General Christian Freiding announced this in a program on the YouTube channel of the German Armed Forces, LIGA.net reports.
Freiding announced that by December 2024, Germany plans to transfer to Ukraine:
Iris-T SLM – medium-range air defense systems operating within a radius of up to 40 km and at an altitude of up to 25 km. Iris-T SLS is a short-range missile system capable of shooting down targets at a distance of up to 10 km and at an altitude of up to 6 km.
Recall that on July 29, Germany allocated new military aid to Ukraine : the package includes Leopard 1A5 tanks, surface drones and Gepard shells.
