On December 11, Aleksey Novikov, a public figure and a former deputy of the Kyiv City Council, died in Kyiv. He was only 38 years old.
The death of Alexei Novikov was confirmed by his wife, the mother of their four children.
She announced that the funeral will take place on Sunday, December 12, at the Baikovo cemetery.
On the same day on the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration clarified that the cause of death of Alexei Novikov was a heart attack.
– Alexey Novikov, in the status of a deputy and a public figure, worked for the good of our city, always defended the interests citizens. But life is often unfair and takes away in the prime of life. Everlasting memory! – expressed their condolences to colleagues.
Who was Aleksey Novikov
Aleksey Novikov from Kiev came to politics in 2006, when he was elected a deputy of the Kiev Council in one of the districts of the Dnieper region from the bloc Leonid Chernovetskiy.
He was elected a deputy for the second time in 2015, but already from the Unity party. He actively fought against the capital's developers, defended the architectural monuments of Kiev and called on the townspeople to protect the environment.
