Moscow. June 8. INTERFAX.RU – During construction on the territory of the Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia, the foundation of the building was deformed due to subsidence of the soil, the press service of the corporation told Interfax.
They noted that the spaceships were not damaged in this case.
“To clarify the causes of the incident and eliminate the consequences, an operational commission was created. To continue the regular work of the corps, the commission is considering various options for moving products to other areas of the enterprise or strengthening the structure,” RSC Energia said.
According to the corporation, there is no threat of further deformation of the foundation.
PJSC RSC Energia is a Russian rocket and space enterprise, the leading organization for manned space systems. It is working on the creation of automatic space and rocket systems (launch vehicles and interorbital transport) and high-tech systems for various purposes for use in non-space spheres.
The main organization of RSC Energia is located in Korolev, near Moscow, and the branch is at the Baikonur cosmodrome (Kazakhstan).
