In June, Roskomnadzor blocked Opera VPN and VyprVPN in Russia. The official reason for this is “threats to circumvent restrictions on access to child pornography, suicidal, narcotic and other prohibited content.” Now the free developer has introduced the service “Return VPN to Opera”.
Users of computers running Windows will be able to return the VPN, writes Rozetked. The developer service automatically edits the user's browser settings in a specific way. First, you need to find the Secure Preferences and Secure Preferences.backup files in the specified directory. They are then uploaded to the site. After that, the user can download the corrected versions of the files and replace the original ones with them.
If everything went well, you should manually enable VPN in Opera settings. More detailed instructions can be found at this link.
