Amid a high-profile legal battle between Epic Games and Apple, many seem to have begun to forget that the game developer has also filed a lawsuit against Google. Meanwhile, the company has shared some interesting information about the search giant's manipulation of Android and Google Play.
For example, Google tried to ban licensed Android games downloaded outside the Google Play app store, SlashGear writes. As a first step in this direction, the IT corporation considered the possibility of a partial or even full buyout of Epic Games.
Another manipulation that “kills” third-party software downloads could be the complication of this process. Google was seriously considering an option in which users would have to take more than 15 steps to install applications bypassing Google Play.
