Former world number one Boris Becker faces a seven-year prison sentence. Sky Sports reported.
According to the investigation, in June 2017, the athlete violated the terms of his own bankruptcy procedure and hid information about the availability of funds and property. The tennis player was charged on 19 counts; law enforcement officials believe Becker has a stake in the business, several bank accounts and properties in London and Germany.
The German athlete does not admit his guilt. On October 22, Becker, 52, is due to appear at a preliminary hearing in court.
Becker is a six-time winner of the Grand Slam tournaments, Olympic champion-1992. During his career, the German has earned more than $ 25 million in singles and doubles prize money. From 2013 to 2016, Becker coached Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic.
