Former head of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Karin Kneissl has submitted her resignation from the position of a member of the board of directors of Rosneft.
This was announced by the Russian oil company.
According to a press release, the decision comes into force from 20 May. The document refers to the refusal to extend Kneisl's powers on the company's board of directors for a second term.
Kneissl headed the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2017-2019.
Karin Kneisl entered the board of directors of Rosneft in June 2021. She also became famous for dancing with the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin at her own wedding in 2018.
Recall that the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry remembered his predecessor and said that he wouldn't dance with Putin.
