Former Afghan minister becomes food delivery man in Germany

Former Afghan communications minister Syed Ahmad Shah Sadaat has found himself a job as a courier in Leipzig, Leipzig daily newspaper Leipziger Volkszeitung reported.

The minister left Afghanistan for Germany in December 2020. As Sadaat told the publication, when he ran out of savings, he started looking for work. Today, the ex-minister makes his living by delivering food and drinks at the Lieferando delivery service. However, according to Sadaat, he dreams of one day getting a job at Telekom (the German telecommunications company, the largest in Europe and the third in the world).

After the terrorist organization Taliban, banned in Russia, announced the seizure of all of Afghanistan, part of the country's leadership fled. In particular, President Ashraf Ghani left. A few days later it became known that he and his family were in the United Arab Emirates. In his address, the fugitive head of state said he left the country to avoid bloodshed and promised to return. The Taliban said they were ready to grant amnesty to the fugitive leadership of the country, including Ghani.

Now the only region not controlled by the Taliban is the Panjshir province in northern Afghanistan. Vice President Amrullah Saleh is in Panjshir, who declared himself head of state and promised that he would not surrender to the Taliban under any circumstances. The Taliban began to besiege the region.
