Russia at the talks with NATO will be represented by an interdepartmental delegation of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Defense Ministry. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, answering the relevant question, RIA Novosti reports.
He stressed that the military will directly participate in the discussion of security issues at the meeting.
Grushko also noted that Russia wants to conduct substantive negotiations. “And, of course, we put at the forefront the achievement of concrete results, namely the adoption of a decision that actually improves the situation in the field of military security in Europe. We will not negotiate for the sake of negotiation, ”he added.
Earlier, the head of the press service of the US Department of State, Ned Price, said that the talks between the United States and Russia in Geneva within the framework of the dialogue on strategic stability would be limited to bilateral issues.
