The absence of the Russian flag at the talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Armen Sarkissian is due to the protocol practice of this country. This will be reported on the Telegram channel of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday, November 21.

“Flags are very important. The content of the negotiations is even more important. It is also important to know the history of meetings and their design, ”the message says.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also published a 2019 photo of Pashinyan's talks with Lavrov, where only the flag of Armenia is also present. “And where then were the indignations of the tg channels?” – concluded the authors of the post.

Lavrov visited Armenia on Saturday, November 21, as part of a Russian delegation. He described the talks that took place as “comprehensive”. The minister stressed that there is no alternative to the trilateral agreement on ending the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also arrived in Yerevan as part of the Russian delegation. The latter, during a meeting with Pashinyan, stated that Russia intends to prevent further bloodshed in Karabakh.

The Russian delegation handed over to Armenia samples of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.
