Along with military aggression against Ukraine, Russia has launched a massive hybrid offensive against Europe.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga warned Europe of Russia's massive hybrid offensive and proposed urgent steps to protection.
This was discussed in a statement by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, citing a statement by the head of the ministry in Kh.
Sybiha emphasized that the Russian Federation uses all hybrid tools – from propaganda and cyberattacks to sabotage, interference in internal affairs and attempts to destabilize entire countries.
“Georgia, Moldova and Romania are only the latest examples of such actions, but Russia's hybrid efforts continue – from Western Europe to the Balkan and Baltic states,” he added, and also called on all European governments and societies to realize that they have already been attacked and to join forces to counter Russia's malicious influence.
“To defend against this, we must hybrid offensive and defense of Europe, it is necessary to take a number of urgent steps, in particular, completely block Russian propaganda, strengthen the work of the police and counterintelligence, strengthen cyber defense and make the Schengen visa policy for Russian citizens stricter,” he emphasized.
Andriy Sybiga also noted that Ukraine has extensive experience in countering various hybrid threats from Russia – from cyber attacks to disinformation campaigns and sabotage.
“We are ready to share our best knowledge and experience with European partners to help maintain stable democratic development,” Sybiga wrote.
