Tornadoes are found in central Russia, but this is a rather rare occurrence. This was stated by the head of the laboratory of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Lyudmila Parshina. The forecaster noted that after receiving videos of the tornado, which were filmed the day before, on August 2, in the Tver region, experts went to the scene to study the nature of this weather phenomenon.
“A video of yesterday's tornado in the Tver region has appeared on the Internet. Now specialists from the Hydrometeorological Center have gone there to analyze the nature of the past atmospheric vortex on the spot, “the Rossiyskaya Gazeta expert quotes.
According to her, an increase in wind up to 18 meters per second was recorded in the region, but it was just a wind, not a tornado.
In turn, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, noted that smears are more common in southern latitudes, for example, they can form over the Black Sea.
We will remind, earlier forecasters warned the inhabitants of the Urals about the impending tornado. In the Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions, the Perm Territory, the 30-degree heat will be replaced by heavy showers, the TV channel “360” reports.
