The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, told the Moscow 24 news agency that the classic Indian summer in the Russian capital will not come this year, although the air temperature will rise slightly.
Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological office, confirms Wilfand's words. She said that the Indian summer in the capital can not wait.
The opposite opinion was expressed by the leading employee of the Phobos weather center Yevgeny Tishkovets. He believes that the old Indian summer in Moscow will come next week, while the air temperature will be up to +15 degrees.
And Yandex.Pogoda specialist, head of the weather forecasting group, Alexander Ganshin, told Lenta.ru that at the end of this week the capital will get warmer up to 22 degrees.
“At the end of this week, a gradual increase in air temperature is expected in Moscow, and precipitation in the form of rains will stop – by the weekend the air will warm up to 22 degrees,” Ganshin said.
He also noted that at the beginning of the new week, the thermometer will start to drop again. The coming weekend, he said, will be the last warm days of autumn for Moscow.
In turn, Vilfand clarified that from Tuesday of next week, when it is sunny, the northeastern winds will still lead to the fact that the air temperature will not warm up more than +13 … + 14 degrees.
“The traditional Indian summer is a special story when a high pressure spur extends from the Azores anticyclone through southwestern Europe to the central part of European Russia. The air is fragile, crystal, cobwebs are visible. And warm weather, +17 … + 20 degrees. But now up to +17 degrees is not expected, ”he said.
The meteorologist believes that the discrepancies of experts in matters of the onset of Indian summer are only in the interpretation of this natural phenomenon.
