In Lviv, a priest was fined for the second time in a year for domestic violence against his wife. In favor of the state, UAH 340 was charged from him.
For the first time, a woman turned to the police in the spring of this year. When law enforcement officers came to their house, priest Igor Gorodetsky called his wife, pushed her and even threatened with reprisal.
Then he was fined 340 UAH. and the court completed its consideration of the case. However, a similar situation occurred in December.
The priest again took up the old and threatened his wife with murder, using obscene language.
The court again recognized him guilty of committing domestic violence and fined UAH 340. The unfortunate man did not appear at the meeting.
Igor Gorodetsky is 65 years old. He is a priest of the Greek Catholic Church of the Great Martyr Dmitry.
Fines may end
As part of the latest court proceedings, it was clarified that in the future the family tyrant will not be fined.
If the priest does not stop his aggression towards his wife, he will be given an order not to approach the woman.
In addition, the judge can send the man to community service or arrest him for 10 days.
If law enforcement officers open criminal proceedings, the priest could end up in jail.
