Qualcomm plans to create a new version of the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor without 5G support. It will be intended for those manufacturers who want to sell their smartphones in markets where fifth-generation networks are not developed (Russian among them). As it turned out, Huawei will be among such manufacturers.
The fact is that Huawei cannot use American 5G technologies in its products. Therefore, the company will become the customer for the new processor.
According to an insider, the Huawei P50 series smartphones, which are scheduled to launch in July (hopefully), will run on the new Snapdragon 888 LTE version.
It is worth noting that, despite the above information, Huawei's flagships will be released without Google services. The US sanctions have not yet been canceled.
