On Friday, March 18, Russian invaders used the latest weapons in Kyiv for the first time – projectiles that descend by parachute.
This was announced today at a briefing by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.
According to him, the projectile was fired by parachute from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
< p> – Yesterday in Kyiv for the first time the fact of using a new type of shells was recorded. It was fired from a Russian multiple launch rocket system. This is a shell that parachuted down to Kyiv, — Gerashchenko emphasized.
One of the photos he provided shows the damage caused by this projectile.
– We see that the Russians are already using all means of war, the most cruel, against the civilian population of Ukraine, — added by Gerashchenko.
He stressed that all the crimes of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will be investigated. Now the National Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs record all cases of murders, rapes, robberies and looting by Russian invaders. In the future, a database on the crimes of Russians in Ukraine will be created.
As Gerashchenko noted, this is important for future courts, both international and Ukrainian.
– We will go by analogy with fixing the crimes of Nazi Germany during the Second World War. But in those days there were only affidavits, and now we can accompany each such crime with facts from video recordings from telephones, open sources that are available … We will issue a huge bill to the Russian Federation for crimes committed against Ukraine. Already today we understand that it will be hundreds of billions of dollars, — Gerashchenko said.
It is worth noting that parachute-launched shells are used, for example, for both Russian Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems and Gradov. Such rockets have a detachable warhead that descends on a stabilizing parachute. They can hit the target at an angle of 90 degrees.
