A research center with the beautiful name ERA (the elite of the Russian army) has been operating in Anapa for several years. This is a large technopolis, our “Silicon Valley”, where “the best young brains” from all over Russia are gathered. Well, to put it another way, it is a rapidly growing scientific and practical university that gives useful results for defense. Moreover, according to some achievements, young scientists and researchers have repeatedly wiped their nose even to the vaunted RUSNANO.
The leadership of the Ministry of Defense is closely watching the results of the work of researchers and designers in uniform (in the ERA, first of all, they take boys of military age who graduated from universities and showed themselves in inventive work “with a military bias”).
For this purpose, there are annually held “Days of Innovation” – in fact, this is a review of the best that has been done in laboratories. Such a review is being held now in the ERA. Young scientists and designers had something to show the noble Moscow “brigade” headed by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ruslan Tsalikov – 120 new projects! There was, however, one more important reason for the arrival of the military leaders – the opening of the Kulibin research and production center in the technopolis.
The heirs of the great Russian engineer-inventor showed the first deputy minister and the persons accompanying him a sample demonstrator of the combat vehicle of the MS-522 multiple launch rocket system of 80 mm caliber. This weapon is designed to destroy area, group and single targets, as well as armored and automotive vehicles, manpower, both openly located and located in fortifications. The designers of NPO Splav have already paid attention to the “creative” development of young military engineers. The Marker experimental platform was presented at the Innovation Day.
It is intended for the development, study and practical implementation of all the most advanced technologies related to vision systems, high-speed drives, navigation and hybrid power plants. The development of a technical vision system, which has no analogues in the world, was carried out by the operators of the scientific companies of the ERA Technopolis. There were also other unique novelties – the first demonstrator of aviation weapons with a domestic neuroprocessor, the automated Passport system with the Quartz mobile information system, and a hardware and software complex for processing information from Earth remote sensing devices using neural network technologies.
Among the unique exhibits is the Mukha unmanned aerial vehicle, which allows receiving intelligence information from hard-to-reach areas and premises, such as tunnels, grottoes, basements.
After inspecting the expositions, Deputy Minister Tsalikov set the task for the developers to quickly introduce new equipment into the “battle formations” of the army. And representatives of the military industry – to help them in this.

The concept of the technopolis development provides for three scientific clusters: research, educational and production. Implementation of the concept “from idea to prototype” will become possible with the commissioning of the Kulibin Research and Production Center.
The total area of the Center is more than 4 thousand meters, the number of installed unique equipment is 123 units. The center received a certificate of compliance of the Quality Management System with international standards.
