Flights to the Moon are now impossible, the expert believes. The creation of one rocket for a flight to the Moon requires 10 annual programs of Roscosmos, the head of the Moscow Space Club said.

Such an opinion on the air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda (radiokp.ru ) was expressed by the scientific director of the Moscow Space Club, Ivan Moiseev, to the news that Roskosmos announced a tender to study the problematic issues of organizing manned flights to the moon.
“The result will be a thick report with a repetition of the themes of the study of the moon, which were earlier. There is no practical opportunity to fly to the moon now. To create only one rocket, you need to throw 10 annual programs of Roscosmos on it, forgetting about everything else, ”he said.
The cost of the contract announced by Roscosmos is more than 1 billion 700 million rubles. It states that the main task of the contractor is to ensure “the safe stay and work of astronauts in the circumlunar orbit and on the lunar surface in terms of work in 2022 – 2025.”
“In 2015, when the program until 2025 was adopted, the elements of the program of a man's flight to the Moon were introduced into it. But the program was cut and all these elements came out. Therefore, projects for the implementation of flights to the moon are not being carried out now and cannot be carried out because of their high cost, ”said Moiseev.
