Now it's fixed: Formula 1 will have a record season in 2022. The motorsport “premier class” presented the calendar on Friday.
For the first time, 23 races will be held next year – more than ever in Formula 1. The longest season in history starts with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20th and ends on November 20th in Abu Dhabi.
Noticeable when looking at the calendar: For the first time in years, the season opener does not take place in Melbourne. Due to the corona pandemic, the Grand Prix was postponed and is now set to take place on April 10th. The Miami Grand Prix is due to premiere on May 8th.
But some classics are missing. The Chinese Grand Prix was withdrawn from the program. There is also no German Grand Prix on the calendar. The 11th round of the classic at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is scheduled for July 10th.
