Five tourists from Moscow got lost in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria during an evening walk. This was reported on the website of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the republic.

“Today at 18:27 the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the KBR received a message that a group of vacationers from Moscow in the amount of five people went for a walk in the evening in the vicinity of the city of Tyrnyauz,” the message says. With the onset of darkness, the tourists were unable to find their way back to the city.

Five rescuers from the Elbrus high-mountain search and rescue squad of the EMERCOM of Russia and one piece of equipment came to the aid of the lost. As of 20:25, they took the tourists who lost their way to their place of residence. They did not need further assistance.

Earlier, the police in the Tomsk region found and rescued a shift worker who got lost in the taiga. The man ate frozen berries for five days. He told the police that he got lost in the taiga, twisted his leg and could no longer walk on his own.
