In the Republic of Tatarstan, five people were injured in a fire in a residential apartment building. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Russian region.

It is clarified that the incident took place in the city of Chistopol at 88 Engels Street. The firefighters who arrived at the scene found that a sofa had caught fire in a one-room apartment on the third floor. The combustion area was 30 square meters. The fire was extinguished at 21:50 Moscow time.

As a result of the accident, five people were injured, including two children. All victims were hospitalized in a hospital.

In 2014, 60 people were evacuated in Moscow because of a sofa on fire.
