The Polish Ministry of Defense has confirmed the first case of infection with a new strain Omicron coronavirus.
This is reported by the Polish Ministry of Health.
“The mutation was found in a sample taken from a 30-year-old citizen of Lesotho. The patient is in isolation and feels well,” – said in the message of the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry noted that the Polish Sanitary Inspectorate took all the necessary measures due to the appearance of a new Omicron strain in the state.
It should be noted that as of On December 15, WHO reported that Omicron has already been found in 77 countries, but it is likely in most countries already.
