The family of Connor Reed from Great Britain is shocked by the news of his mysterious death – the body of a 26-year-old young man was found in a dormitory at Bangor University (North Wales) with no signs of a violent death.
Connor Reed became famous after allegedly contracting the coronavirus while working as an English teacher in Wuhan, China, which has become the epicenter of the pandemic. It is believed that he is the first of the citizens of the kingdom to have contracted a dangerous infection – this happened at the end of November last year.
Having become ill, Reed began to describe the symptoms of the disease, shoot videos about his condition and share them on social networks. In his own words, he survived “24 hellish days, feeling on the verge of death.” After being forced into quarantine for 16 weeks, Reed continued to report from the epicenter of the epidemic.
Recently, the young man lived in a university dormitory, where he began to study linguistics. According to his parents living in Australia, he was full of energy and interest in life, and his death was a tragic surprise for them.
“I understand perfectly well that when a young man suddenly dies and the police say that there are no suspicious circumstances,” this phrase invariably indicates that he committed suicide. I understand why people might think it was suicide, but I don't see it. We may never know the truth, but we must try to find it, ”said Connor's father.
The forensic experts who performed the autopsy said they had not found any clear cause of the young man's death and that they would have to undergo a series of tests that would take up to 12 weeks.
Reed Connor's parents did not even manage to say goodbye to their son – due to the restrictions associated with the coronavirus, they were unable to come to the funeral and were forced to see their child on his last journey via video broadcast from the crematorium's farewell hall.
