Fireworks department was closed in the Lenta hypermarket in Tomsk after two cases of arson

After two cases of arson of the Lenta hypermarkets in Tomsk, the third store of the chain, which was not damaged by the fire, decided to close the fireworks department. This is reported by Izvestia.
According to an eyewitness, a plaque appeared on an empty rack in the pyrotechnic wares department. “The rack is under construction. We apologize, ”reads the sign.
On Saturday, December 25, in Tomsk, the Lenta hypermarket on Pushkin Street caught fire for the second time in a week. The area of the fire was 20 square meters. In total, about 500 visitors and about 150 personnel were evacuated from the building.
Prior to that, on December 21, there was an arson attack on the Lenta hypermarket on Elizarovykh Street. The suspect turned out to be a local resident born in 1988, who had previously been prosecuted on suspicion of setting fire to a hypermarket.
