Fires near Chernobyl cannot be completely extinguished: cesium concentration increased in Kyiv

Fires broke out near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which still cannot be completely extinguished. In Kyiv and on the western territory near Chernobyl, a slight increase in the concentration of cesium was recorded.

This was reported by the International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA) with reference to the Ukrainian nuclear regulator SINR.
