The Russian aggressor continues to commit war crimes in Ukraine and violate international conventions one after another.
This was officially announced late in the evening on February 28 by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is clearly noted that in addition to Russia, neighboring Belarus also acts as a platform for starting aggression against Ukraine.
– The enemy, losing his offensive potential, loses his human face along with him. Numerous cases of violations of the laws of war and international humanitarian law by the Russian aggressor are recorded along the entire offensive zone.
War crimes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine
- Use of weapons against the civilian population (signs of genocide).
- Bombing, rocket and artillery shelling of residential areas (destruction of civilian infrastructure).
- The use of state symbols and uniforms of Ukrainian defenders. The recorded facts are the settlements of Pobeda, Novaya Basan, Kiev region, on the highway Krasnostav – Nizhyn, Chernihiv region.
- White flag for further continuation of aggression. After approaching the Ukrainian positions, infidels with a white flag, symbolizing peace and the laying down of arms, begin to open fire to kill.
- Attempts to destroy Ukrainian mobile communication towers while moving deep into the territory of our state.
– All this indicates that the Russian aggressors are terribly afraid, because they did not receive any bread and salt promised by the propagandists. They received only hatred and neglect from the civilian population and a worthy rebuff from the Ukrainian army,” the General Staff stressed.
It should be noted that the day after the start of a full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the official The Hague announced plans to “study the war crimes of the Russian Federation”.
The statement said that the Hague office could exercise its jurisdiction to investigate any acts of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes committed in Ukraine.
